Dirty Beautiful Rich Part 1
Author: Eva Devon
Release Date: 16 January 2015
Publisher: Bard Productions

Damian Fitzgerald, The Earl of Clare, has a secret. It’s dark and deep and he never speaks of it to anyone. That secret has driven him to become one of the most powerful and wealthy men in the world. A man who does whatever it takes to always win. When he spots Julie Doyle on a visit to the United States, he knows he has to have her. And when Damian Fitzgerald wants something, nothing stands in his way.

Two years ago, Julie Doyle’s dreams crashed and burned. With her mom’s death, one hundred thousand dollars in student loan and medical debt, and a degree that’s taken her no where, she’s given up on ever living the life she imagined. But a night out with her friends puts Irishman Damian Fitzgerald in her path. A man unlike any she’s ever known. Powerful, sexy as hell, and wealthy beyond her dreams, she can’t believe that he singles her out with one very appealing proposition.

Whew, what a great introduction to this story! It's short and sweet, with a dollop of sexy for good measure and it certainly whets your appetite for more.

We are introduced to the main characters, Damian Fitzgerald and Julie Doyle. Damian is a mysterious, confident and sexy as sin man who comes into Julie's life rather unexpectedly. Damian is the kind of guy who goes after what he wants and gets it, but I get the feeling there's some secrets in his past that I'm looking forward to finding out.

Poor Julie has had a rough time of it lately. She's broke and living in a run down apartment after having to sell her family home to pay for her mother's medical bills. She's a bit over weight and her self-esteem has taken a battering after her boyfriend turns out to be a total douche canoe. So, when a gorgeous, powerful man offers her a pretty amazing opportunity, things seem to good to be true. I guess, we'll have to wait to find out if they are!

This is a great first part to this serial novel, and I loved that though this is Eva Devon's first contemporary story it still has a flavour of historical romance- particularly in regards to our swoon-worthy hero. I'm looking forward to what the next installment will bring us!

*I received a review copy from the author, for my honest opinion. Thank you!
