Book Review: One Night in Santiago by Audra North

One Night in Santiago
Author: Audra North
Publisher: Entangled Publishing, Flaunt
Release Date: 30 December 2013

Lily Stanton's vacation goes from bad to worse when a storm strands her in a foreign country, arguing with an arrogant—and very sexy—stranger over the last available hotel room.

Successful CEO Bruno Komarov wasn't expecting the gorgeous woman checking in at the reception desk to challenge him over a room. Even more surprising, he actually enjoys their exchange.

But when Lily proposes a compromise—she'll take the bed and he can sleep on the couch—Bruno pushes his attraction aside and assures himself that this can remain strictly business. After all, they're both adults capable of keeping their hands to themselves. They'll share the room, get a good night's sleep, and be off to their respective destinations in the morning.

What could possibly happen in just one night?

This was pretty much exactly what I was expecting- a short, sexy and fun read. It was enjoyable, but not exactly a stand out.

Lily is a very independent woman, and she can most definitely handle herself. She was in a bad relationship, but since it ended she's found herself again and her self-confidence. She's successful but down to earth, and comfortable in her own skin. She's very likable, and you get a great insight into her mind for such a short book.
Bruno is a good match for Lily in many ways. He's also successful as the head of his family's wealthy empire. He's very down to earth despite his wealth, and was just a really nice guy and a gentleman. He's super hot (always good) and is looking to settle down.

Lily and Bruno have great chemistry, and the attraction between them is instant and intense. Despite the fact that they think they'll never see each other after sharing a hotel room for the night, they give in to their desires. It made for some pretty steamy reading! The sex was very hot.
The romance between them was very realistic. They only actually meet for the night, and whilst they do talk a lot and get to know each other fairly well, it's still only a night. So the ending was pretty perfect for the story, it has enough of a conclusion to be satisfying and avoids being unrealistic.

This is well written and enjoyable, although somewhat lacking in plot. It's exactly what it sets out to be- a short, steamy read that you can enjoy in under an hour.

*I received a review copy from the publisher, for my honest review. Thank you!
