Sports medicine doctor and weekend cowboy, Chase Cooper, is ready to settle down, and he’s beginning to wonder if his best friend from high school, Mari Blair, could be the one that got away. Coop and his buddies have come up with a plan, but he never imagined it would be Mari’s sister, Julia—the girl who was always off-limits—, who would take him up on his invitation.

When lawyer, Julia Blair, finds herself on a dude ranch half way across the country, only to discover the invitation was meant for her vivacious twin sister, she knows she has two choices—go home alone or walk a day in her sister’s shoes. When she sets eyes on sexy cowboy Chase Cooper, the choice becomes easy. She's determined to stay and have some carefree fun while at the ranch.

Coop can’t believe the mix up, but when he discovers Julia wants to play, then play they will. When things get steamy and playtime becomes so much more, he’s determined to prove she’s the girl for him. And he’s not above using a few tricks of the trade to get his point across…

I really enjoyed this little novella. I loved the idea of the 'weekend cowboys' inviting their high school crushes to their ranch, to see what might have been. It's a great idea for a series, and I'm already looking forward to Jag and mac's stories.

Coop was seriously hot, like....wow. He's got the whole cowboy thing working to his advantage, as well. We don't get to know Coop particularly well, but I liked what I knew.
Julia is a straight-laced lawyer, who's always seen as the sensible, smart twin. She's mortified when she turns up at the ranch, just to find out that the invite was meant for her twin sister, Mari. Julia may be sensible on the surface, but it was great watching Coop bring out her passionate, fun side. I'm also a sucker for a book where the quiet girl gets the guy!

They had a combustible and instantaneous chemistry. They always had crushes on each other in high school- although neither of them knew that! The sex scenes in the book had me fanning myself, and that scene in the barn was hot, hot, HOT!

Aside from the scorching chemistry, they have a sweet romance. Of course the transition from lust to love was very hasty, but it is a novella. It's very enjoyable, and I loved the setting. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

*I received a review copy from the publisher, for my honest review. Thank you!
