Book Review: Crash Into Me by Tracy Wolff

Crash Into Me (Shaken Dirty #1)
Author: Tracy Wolff
Publisher: Entagled Publishing, Brazen
Release Date: 14 October 2013

She’s totally off limits, but this rocker wants a taste…

Jamison Matthews has lusted after Ryder Montgomery since she was a preteen. But now that Ryder and her brother’s band, Shaken Dirty, has made it huge, she’s just one of many pining for the brooding lead singer. Too bad Ryder still sees her as a little sister. Not that it matters. Her brother would never allow it, and the last thing Jamison wants is to be another notch on a rock star’s bed post. Even if it’s Ryder’s.

Ryder doesn’t deserve happiness. After his fame destroyed his last girlfriend, he swore he’d never fall in love again. So when Jamison, the girl he’s been in danger of loving for years, joins the band on the road, he’ll do anything to deny the sparks between them—even after one hot night together. But Jamison is determined to show Ryder that he’s worthy of love—her love—and that she’s all grown up…and ready to play.

I really, really enjoyed Crash Into Me! I mean, who doesn't enjoy a rock star romance?!

Ryder is absolutely drool-worthy! Sure, he's a tattooed, pierced lead singer of a rock band, so it goes without saying that he's hot. But he's a tortured soul, and is filled with guilt and pain from his past. He shoulders so much responsibility for the choices of other people, and it doesn't get any better when he starts lusting after his bandmate and best friend's little sister. He's protective, possessive and oh so delicious!

Jamison is just so likable and relatable. She's independent and is trying to make her dreams come true, but life is just not going her way. She seemingly loses it all- her boyfriend, her car and her job- and goes to visit her brother and his hugely successful rock band, Shaken Dirty. Jamison has always lusted after Ryder, but she has always been off limits and viewed as the kid sister of the band.

Ryder and Jamison's chemistry was so freaking hot. The heat flared up between them so quickly and fiercely. I loved it! Ryder doesn't want to want Jamison, but he just can't help it- he's so drawn to her. I loved watching them battle with their emotions and finally realise how much they truly love each other. I was rooting for them through the whole story. Jamison is the perfect woman to heal Ryder's brokenness.

To say I'm excited for the stories of the rest of the Shaken Dirty guys is a massive understatement! I can't wait for each of them (hopefully) to find the women who can capture their hearts. We do get to know the rest of the band a bit, but the focus is mostly on Ryder and Jamison. What we do see of them is definitely enough to whet my appetite though!
This book successfully combines some of my favourite romance tropes- older brother's best friend, rock stars, and some unrequited love. It's touching, and sexy with lots of emotional twists and turns!

*I received a review copy from the publisher, for my honest review. Thank you!
