Q. What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?

I'm a huge romance fan and whilst I don't feel guilty now about what I read, I sort of used to. I've been reading romances since I was about 12, and at first most of it was Mills & Boon (I'm pretty sure that's Harlequin). I have had a lot of shtick (is that a word??) over the years for reading romances but I'm now proud of it and flaunt it :)

What about you, what's your guilty pleasure when it comes to books?

  1. Shtick is definitely a word! Heck spell check didn't even come up! I was just saying it's a word because we use it as a word!!

But I got the same kind of teasing from my friends for reading my paranormal reads. And this was ages before the genre even took off.

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  11. I rarely read romances, but I can see how one would consider a guilty pleasure! I don't think I'd be able to read them in public. Not because of the content inside the book, but because I'd be embarrassed about some of the covers! So cheesy! lol

  13. It's really ridiculous that people think it's okay to say bad things about romance novels. I mean, sure everyone doesn't have to like them, but that doesn't mean they are bad. No one really does that with any other genre fiction. It drives me crazy. I love romance. Why don't people roll their eyes are mystery novels or science fiction?
